On January 23, 2014 Pre-K for PA launched at events across Pennsylvania. Rev. Sharon Easterling spoke on behalf of DVAEYC at the Southeastern PA launch, which was hosted by Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia at the Karabots Primary Care Center. Other speakers included Jill Michal of the United Way, Dr. Steven Altschuler of CHOP, District Attorneys Risa Vetri Ferman and Seth Williams, Lola Rooney of the Philadelphia Freedom Valley YMCA and Richard Dunlap, Superintendent of the Upper Darby School District. Parents also spoke, and a presentation was made by pre-k students.
